SPECIFICATIONS POWDER COATED PARTITIONS
with Floor Anchored Overhead Braced Mounting Style  



PART 1: GENERAL

1.01 Work Included - The toilet partitions shall be powder coated steel with floor anchored overhead braced installation as distributed by Restroom PLUS

1.02 Related Work - Furnish labor and materials necessary for completion of work in this section as shown in approved drawings.

PART 2: PRODUCT

2.01 Doors, Panels and Urinal Screens - Shall be 1" thick and fabricated from tension-leveled, cold rolled commercial quality 22 gauge galvannealed steel.

2.02 Pilasters - Shall be 1-1/4" thick and fabricated from tension-leveled cold commercial quality 20 gauge galvannealed steel.

2.03 Material - Doors, panels, pilasters and urinal screens shall be manufactured with a honeycomb core bonded to the steel with a non-toxic adhesive to ensure solid construction and sound attenuation. All four components shall be assembled with a special interlocking roll formed crown molding, with the corners brazed and ground smooth.

2.04 Finish - Doors, panels, pilasters and urinal screens shall be power washed and phosphate treated for maximum finish color adhesion. All components shall be finished with a hybrid epoxy/polyester powder, electrostatically applied to ensure uniform thickness.

2.05 Color - Shall be selected from a full range of standard designer colors.

2.06 Door Hardware - Shall be a "stay-level" non rising cam action hinge that permit door to remain at desired position when not in use. Hinges, one-piece strike and keeper, coat hook, knob and escutcheon plate shall be chromium plated die-cast Zamac to resist corrosion. Hinges, strike and keeper shall be attached with tamper resistant sheet metal screws. Concealed latch assembly shall allow for emergency access. ADA compliant compartments shall be supplied with ADA paddle handle.

2.07 Mounting Hardware - Chrome plated Zamac stirrup brackets shall be used to mount panels and pilasters. Pilaster trim shoes shall be 304 stainless steel with #4 satin finish. Mounting hardware shall be secured with tamper resistant sheet metal screws.

2.08 Construction Design - Compartments shall be floor anchored with angle bracket mounting system. Integral leveling bolt provides proper height adjustment. Floor anchoring system shall be concealed by a stainless steel trim shoe. Aluminum headrail with anti-grip profile shall provide overhead bracing and span all compartments and brace the end pilaster to the back wall.

PART 3: EXECUTION

3.01 Installation - Compartments and urinal screens shall be installed in accordance with installation instructions. All components shall be rigid, straight and plumb. Doors and panels mounted 12" above the finished floor.



SPECIFICATIONS PLASTIC LAMINATE PARTITIONS
with Floor Anchored Overhead Braced Mounting Style



 
PART 1: GENERAL

1.01 Work Included - The toilet partitions shall be plastic laminate with floor anchored overhead braced installation as distributed by Restroom PLUS

1.02 Related Work - Furnish labor and materials necessary for completion of work in this section as shown in approved drawings.

PART 2: PRODUCT

2.01 Doors, Panels and Urinal Screens - Shall have an finished thickness of 1". 

2.02 Pilasters - Shall have a finished thickness of 1-1/4".

2.03 Material - Doors, panels, pilasters and urinal screens shall be fabricated from 45-pound density, resin impregnated 7/8" thick particle board. Decorative plastic laminate shall be applied to the particle board with a non-toxic, waterproof resistant under high pressure. All components shall be edge banded prior to face lamination to ensure moisture run-off and vandal resistance.

2.04 Finish - All components shall have faces and edges covered with a decorative, vertical grade (.050 thickness) laminate. 

2.05 Color - Laminate color shall be selected from a full range of standard designer colors.

2.06 Door Hardware - Shall be gravity cam-action hinge that permit door to return to a pre-set position. Hinges, strike, keeper and coat hook shall be chromium plated Zamac to resist corrosion. Hinges, strike and keeper shall be through bolted with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Cam-action hinge allows emergency access by lifting the door from the bottom.

2.07 Mounting Hardware - Chrome plated Zamac stirrup brackets shall be secured to walls and pilasters with chrome plated tamper resistant fasteners. Panels shall be through bolted with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Pilaster trim shoes shall be 304 stainless steel with #4 satin finish.

2.08 Construction Design - Compartments shall be floor anchored with 3/8" self-setting adjustable anchor bolts in each pilaster, concealed by a stainless steel trim shoe. Aluminum headrail with anti-grip profile shall provide overhead bracing and span all compartments and brace the end pilaster to the back wall. 

PART 3: EXECUTION

3.01 Installation - Compartments and urinal screens shall be installed in accordance with installation instructions. All components shall be rigid, straight and plumb. Doors and panels mounted 12" above the finished floor.


SPECIFICATIONS STAINLESS STEEL PARTITIONS
with Floor Anchored Overhead Braced Mounting Style

 

  PART 1: GENERAL

1.01 Work Included - The toilet partitions shall be stainless steel with floor anchored overhead braced installation as distributed by Restroom PLUS

1.02 Related Work - Furnish labor and materials necessary for completion of work in this section as shown in approved drawings.

PART 2: PRODUCT

2.01 Doors, Panels and Urinal Screens - Shall be 1" thick and fabricated from tension-leveled, 22 gauge type 304 stainless steel with #4 finish. 

2.02 Pilasters - Shall be 1-1/4" thick and fabricated from tension-leveled 20 gauge type 304 stainless steel with #4 finish.

2.03 Material - Doors, panels, pilasters and urinal screens shall be manufactured with a resin impregnated honeycomb core that is bonded under pressure to the stainless steel with a non-toxic adhesive to ensure solid construction and sound attenuation. All stainless steel components shall be assembled with a special interlocking, 20-gauge stainless steel molding welded and ground smooth at the corners.

2.04 Finish - All components shall be stainless steel with a #4 satin finish and include a PVC film for protection during shipment and installation. 

2.05 Door Hardware - Shall be a "stay-level" non rising cam action hinge that permit door to remain at desired position when not in use. Hinges, one-piece strike and keeper, and coat hook shall be attached with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Concealed latch assembly shall allow for emergency access. Doors for handicapped compartments shall be supplied with ADA paddle handle.

SPECIFICATIONS PHENOLIC PARTITIONS
with Floor Anchored Overhead Braced Mounting Style

 

 PART 1: GENERAL

1.01 Work Included - The toilet partitions shall be Phenolic material with floor anchored overhead braced installation as distributed by Restroom PLUS

1.02 Related Work - Furnish labor and materials necessary for completion of work in this section as shown in approved drawings.

PART 2: PRODUCT

2.01 Doors and Pilasters - Shall be 1/2" thick phenolic material. 

2.02 Panels and Urinal Screens - Shall be ½" thick phenolic material. 

2.03 Material - Doors, panels, pilasters and urinal screens shall be fabricated from phenolic material comprised of multiple layers of melamine resin impregnated kraft paper, and a decorative surface sheet on both faces. All layers shall be fused together under high temperature and pressure. 

2.04 Finish - All compartments shall be water-resistant. Rough edges shall be machine sanded with a 45 degree radius edge and black finish. 

2.05 Color - Shall be selected from a full range of standard designer colors.

2.06 Door Hardware - Shall be heavy duty, cast alloy gravity cam-action vault hinge that permits door to return to a pre-set position. Hinges, strike, keeper and coat hook shall be brushed Zamac to resist corrosion and through bolted with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Cam-action hinge allows emergency access by lifting the door from the bottom.

2.07 Mounting Hardware - Stainless steel stirrup brackets with brushed finish shall be secured to walls and pilasters with stainless steel tamper proof barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Pilaster trim shoes shall be 304 stainless steel with #4 satin finish.

2.08 Construction Design - Compartments shall be floor anchored with 3/8" self-setting adjustable anchor bolts in each pilaster, concealed by a stainless steel trim shoe. Aluminum headrail with anti-grip profile shall provide overhead bracing and span all compartments and brace the end pilaster to the back wall. 

PART 3: EXECUTION

SPECIFICATIONS SOLID PLASTIC PARTITIONS
with Floor Anchored Overhead Braced Mounting Style

 

  PART 1: GENERAL

1.01 Work Included - The toilet partitions shall be high-density polyethylene (HDPE) polymer with floor anchored overhead braced installation as distributed by Restroom PLUS

1.02 Related Work - Furnish labor and materials necessary for completion of work in this section as shown in approved drawings.

PART 2: PRODUCT

2.01 Doors and Pilasters - Shall be 1" thick (door and panels 55" high, pilasters 82" high) HDPE polymer that is water resistant and non-absorbent. A heat sinc shall be attached as standard to the bottom of all doors and panels.

2.02 Material - The HDPE material shall have homogenous color throughout each component with ¼" machined edges for uniformity. Self-lubricating surface shall resist markings from pens, pencils and other writing instruments.

2.05 Color - Shall be selected from a full range of standard designer colors.

2.04 Door Hardware - Integral hinges shall be integrated into the door and pilaster with no exposed metal parts. The ½" nylon gravity cam hinge with a 3/16" stainless steel center pin (bottom) and ½" nylon rod (top) shall be set during installation to desired open position when not locked. Slide latch, strike, keeper and coat hook shall be a brushed aluminum alloy to resist corrosion. Latch, strike and keeper shall be through bolted with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws. Slide latch assembly shall allow for emergency access by lifting the door from the bottom.

2.05 Mounting Hardware - Panel brackets shall be 54" long and extruded from PVC resin with 6 through bolt panel attachment points. Panels shall be through bolted with tamper resistant barrel nuts and shoulder screws.

(Specifier option: Aluminum stirrup brackets with 3 attachments per pilaster and panel or full-length aluminum; or full length stainless steel brackets also available.)

2.06 Construction Design - partitions shall be anchored to the floor with a ¼" x 1" stainless steel mounting bar attached to the bottom of the pilaster. Floor anchoring system shall be secured to the floor with 3/8" stainless steel anchors. The mounting system shall be concealed by molded plastic trim shoes secured with two metal clips incorporated into the floor anchor assembly. Aluminum head rail with anti-grip profile shall provide overhead bracing and span all compartments and brace the end pilaster to the back wall.

PART 3: EXECUTION

3.01 Installation - Shall be installed in accordance with installation instructions with partitions rigid, straight and plumb. Doors and panels shall be mounted 14" above the finished floor.
